Sea Scouts India
Sea Scouts and Guides is a non-governmental, non-political, voluntary youth organization with units established at various locations across India. Since its inception in the year 2000, more than 50,000 students have undergone training and participated in its programs.
The organization is open to all young people without distinction of origin, religion, race, caste, creed, or social background. Its primary objective is to contribute to the holistic development of youth by promoting values of citizenship, character, self-reliance, and service to society.
Through the medium of Sea Training, the organization instills in school and college-going boys and girls, particularly in the age group of 12 to 16 years and above, a strong sense of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership. Training is imparted through seamanship, sailing, watermanship, navigation, lifesaving, and other nautical pursuits conducted on and around the waterfront.
The Sea Scouts and Guides programme aims to develop confident, responsible, and capable young citizens who are physically fit, mentally alert, and prepared to serve their communities and the nation.
